Once again the Bears lose a heartbreaker to another divisional rival late in the fourth quarter. Although Jay Cutler scrambled into the end zone from 4 yards out to give the Bears a 20-13 lead with 4:55 left in the game, the Bears made some costly mistakes late in the game. The Minnesota Vikings capitalized on those mistakes and scored 10 points in the game's last two minutes to escape the Windy City with a 23-20 victory.

Vikings' wide receiver Stefon Diggs spun away from a tackle on a short pass and turned it into a 40-yard touchdown to tie the game at 20 with 1:49 to play. Following that the Bears took over on offense but was forced to punt after rookie running back Jeremy Langford dropped a third-down pass that would have given the Bears a first down. The Vikings got the ball back and took a shot down field to receiver Charles Johnson who made an incredible catch and was brought down at the Chicago 27 yard line. That then set up the game-winning 36-yard field goal by Blair Walsh as time expired.
Quarterback Jay Cutler played well completing 22 of his 33 passes for 211 yards and 2 total touchdowns. Alshon Jeffery was on the receiving end of one of those touchdowns as he made a key play outleaping the cornerback to snag a touchdown pass that tied the game at 10 right before the first half ended. Jeffery finished the day with 116 yards on 10 catches.
The defense played well for Chicago too, before giving up that last touchdown the Stefon Diggs. Before that the Bears kept the Vikings out of the end zone or the first 58 minutes of the game. "There are not a lot of blowouts in the NFL. You're going to be in some tight games and you've got to find a way to win in the fourth quarter" said Coach John Fox after the game.
The Bears now drop to 2-5 on the season and get back to work this week looking to get something rolling as they head to San Diego to face the Chargers.
Bear down!
